Your adventure begins at the Wonderful Tours Office, where
you’ll hop in a vehicle for a 10 km ride north of Vang Vieng
to the peaceful Khmu village of Ban Vieng Samai – our
kayaking launch point.
Before hitting the water, our expert river guides will share
important safety tips and paddling techniques. Then it’s time
to grab your paddle and set off along the tranquil Nam Song
River, framed by towering limestone karsts and lush greenery.
As you glide downstream, you’ll arrive at Tham Norn
(Sleeping Cave) a dramatic riverside cave steeped in history.
Here, you’ll go tubing into its shadowy chambers and learn
about its role during the Second Indochina War, guided by
local stories.
Next, we visit Tham Nang Far (Angel Cave), known for its
peaceful ambiance and striking formations. After exploring,
enjoy the final 3 km of kayaking back toward Vang Vieng
town, where your trip ends with refreshing memories.
